I’m Taylor King otherwise known as “that one girl who is obsessed with Africa”. I am a 20-year-old International Studies major at the University of Oregon but originally from the rose city, Portland, Oregon.
I write for my friends who want to keep up with my life & adventures, my family who are checking to see that I’m still alive and strangers who need that little bit of encouragement to take a leap of faith – whatever that may look like.
For the most part, I write about my heart for Uganda. In 2013, I got the chance to go on a mission trip to Uganda for two weeks with my church and completely fell head over heels. Then, in 2014, after graduating high school, Jesus took me to Uganda again for 6 months. I went alone with the hopes to better understand what I wanted to study in university and to see if Uganda really was “my place.” It was.
Besides Africa, I am extremely passionate about helping humans realize their worth and the potential they have. I hope that by reading this blog, you learn from the places where I am weak, are inspired by my story, and are most importantly introduced to Jesus as I walk alongside him.
